Primeras pinturas

Después de la influencia de las escuelas, su obra figuras y paisajes partiendo del natural, tienen una intención geométrica con una marcada influencia expresionista, aun que los años de pinturas y dibujos figurativos en las escuelas le dan seguridad, la aventura hacia una pintura cada vez mas vanguardista y simplificada le atrae.

En esta etapa realiza su primera exposición individual en la galería La Gabia de la pintora gerundense Montserrat Llonch, exposición que le pone en contacto con algunos de los pintores y escultores del momento en Girona.

Viaja a Galícia y conoce al escultor Víctor Corral quien en su taller le mostrará sus técnicas y las herramientas con que trabaja la piedra, al tiempo que comparte charlas con su hermano el popular poeta y actor gallego Xóan Corral.

Esporádicos viajes al sur de Francia y su primer viaje a París (años 70-80) le hacen conocer otra realidad cultural y política fuera de España.

Con los pintores del barrio de Montmartre, en Place du Tertre en París.

First paintings

After the influence of the schools, his artwork figures and landscapes based on the natural, have a geometric intention with a marked expressionist influence, even though the years of figurative paintings and drawings in schools give him security, the adventure towards a painting every time more focused on avant-garde and simplification attracts the artist.

At this stage he made his first individual exhibition in the gallery La Gabia from Girona’s based painter Montserrat Llonch, an exhibition that puts him in touch with some of the painters and sculptors of the moment in Girona.

He travels to Galícia and meets the sculptor Víctor Corral who in his workshop will show him his techniques and the tools with which the stone works, while sharing talks with his brother the popular Galician poet and actor Xóan Corral.

Sporadic trips to the south of France and his first trip to Paris (70-80 years) make him know another cultural and political reality outside of Spain.
